Benefits of Raw Food on your Health

The More We Do to Our Food, the Less Value Remains.  Do the following experiment to prove it to yourself.
Take a sunflower seed and boil it in water.
Plant it in fertile soil next to a raw sunflower seed.
Treat both seeds the same and notice which one will germinate and grow.
You shouldn’t be surprised that the seed that was boiled didn’t grow because it was dead.  The raw seed continued to grow and change.

The concept of Bio-energetic nutrition (the electromagnetic or vibrational qualities of living food) now becomes real……as only the raw and unheated seed will sprout, life begets life.”
*****************************************************************
WHAT WE DO TO OUR FOOD, THE MORE WE DO TO OUR FOOD,
THE LESS VALUE IS LEFT IN IT!
*****************************************************************
The more time, money and effort applied to food preparation, the less value and nutrition is retained by the food by the time you eat it.
Let’s look at the hierarchy of food preparation.
1. RAW — The food most alive, most whole, most enzymes for us is RAW.
2. JUICED – consumed when still fresh, is next. (Remember the pasteurization process kills the life force (enzymes)
3. DRIED or DEHYDRATED (only 2 to 5% of Enzyme Loss) – keep temperature below 112 degrees Fahrenheit, no chemicals like sulfur used in the drying/dehydration process.
4. FROZEN (5 to 30% Enzyme Loss)
5. STEAMED (15 to 60% Enzyme Loss) Vegetables are still crispy, not completely cooked
6.Saute or Blenching (15 to 50% Enzyme Loss)
7. Full COOKED (40 to 100% Enzyme Loss)
- when you cook a food and you see all the steam going up that is the life going out of your food.
7. MICROWAVED (60 – 100% Enzyme Loss)
- The microwave cooks not by heat but by bombarding the molecules in the food causing them to start vibrating. As they strike each other they create friction which creates heat and that is how they cook. This vibration process unfortunately causes the enzymes to split away from the molecules they are attached to. To explain this think of calcium that is found in the earth, it is inorganic or dead. The plant kingdom will take that calcium, and attach it to an enzyme. That is something the human body cannot do. Only the plant can do that. By attaching that plant enzyme to the calcium it makes that calcium alive or enzymatic ally active. When you microwave or add chemicals or preservatives, that enzyme is neutralized or rendered inactive. No longer usable by the body.

better understand Diabetics

According to conventional diagnostics, you have Diabetes when you have symptoms (excessive thirst, hunger, recurring yeast infections, sores that don’t heal) plus random plasma glucose of over 200, or you have a fasting plasma glucose of over 126 without symptoms.  Naturopathic Physicians are alarmed at a plasma glucose of 100.  A much healthier range is 80-90.

You are at risk for Diabetes II if you eat a diet high in simple carbohydrates and/or if you currently suffer from hypoglycemia.  The pancreas produces insulin, specifically the pancreatic beta cells.  These cells have a certain lifespan.  If you wear them out by consuming a diet high in sugar, then you are at risk of developing Diabetes II.
As long as you still have functioning beta cells, there is hope.  Once these cells are gone and you become dependent on medications, you may never be free of them.  (diabetes II is NOT treated with insulin but with other medications.  Diabetes I is treated with insulin and is NOT caused by diet and lifestyle but by genetics)

There are a number of treatments for diabetes, including medications which increase sensitivity of the cell’s receptors to insulin and glucose. The patient may also be put on a medication that stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin.  These categories of medications increase the likelihood that the patient will eventually go on more intensive therapies, in fact the medical community plans on it.
The organs of concern in Diabetes are the kidneys, heart, liver, pancreas, and nervous tissue.  Most people are aware of the serious complications that arise out of uncontrolled Diabetes which include circulatory problems, heart disease, weight gain, blindness and even death.

How can you prevent or reverse Diabetes?
You must first realize that Diabetes is a predominantly western disease.  You earn the disease by consuming a white, processed, and dead diet; meaning lots of white and processed foods and animal meat.  The groups in Ecuador, Pakistan, and Russia that are studied to be the healthiest and longest living people in the world don’t get Diabetes.  Their diets consist of over 80% fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, grains, and minimal animal meat.  What do you eat most of the time?
In addition to decreased nutrients  in our foods, we are exposed to many toxins in the food we consume (yes, even some  organic vegetables have traces of chemical residue).  In order to regenerate your pancreatic beta cells your body needs special concentrated, clean, raw material to work with.  I know this statement is true because we have seen Diabetes reversed with concentrated herbal foods that have no residue on them.
The biggest issue with Diabetics and dietary changes is overcoming strong cravings.  These herbal foods nourish the body in such a way that the cravings for unhealthy foods diminish while you begin to crave healthier foods.  For optimal health and maximum results, your diet should be high in complex carbohydrates (vegetables, grains, beans), high in essential fatty acids (olive oil, flax, fish oil, etc), low in animal protein and virtually no simple carbohydrates (candy, fruit juices, sodas, breads, white potatoes, pasta, etc).

Be Naturally Fit and Slim with Ease while Strengthening your Immune System

metashaperJean and I (Nathalie) tried Metashaper and we lost MANY inches in our waist with ease and grace! We just received this great info from our dear friend, nutritionist and health researcher, Michael Alexander. It is about the infamous Metashaper. Discover one of the newest and leading-edge product created by Dr Tei-Fu Chen (Sunrider) and read the explanation below. Then, contact us to know how to maximize and optimize the effects by using synergy and leveraging one additional factor! Happy re-silhouetting!
What is it? Tei-Fu™ MetaShaper™: Do you want an exciting new figure and leaner appearance? With proper exercise and a balanced diet, Tei-Fu™ MetaShaper™ helps your body to transform gradually. Our perfectly calibrated formula contains an exclusive combination of antioxidants, plant extracts, and tea catechins to help increase metabolic efficiency, so you feel lighter, healthier, and more energetic.
Michael Alexander’s research and testimonial:
“Many of us have experienced the potency and strength of this amazing product. If you have not, please go slowly! Start with just one a day, with food. Anyway, there is much excitement about this product for “sizing down” and it’s worked well for quite a few people. It is also good for toning the skin and muscles.”
I’m writing this for another reason: MetaShaper contains Resveratrol, on of the most exciting nutrients to come down the pike in awhile. Resveratrol, among other things, has been shown to dramatically slow the aging process! It was originally discovered in red wine, and some researchers used it to explain the so call “French Paradox”. (Call me if you never heard of this.) But before we have a wine tasting party, the truth is, the more honest research has shown that only three varieties of red wine in the entire world have any significant quantities! Two in France, one in Japan. Sorry! Japanese Knotweed has significant quantities and Dr Chen, as usual, is ahead of the curve! If you are like me, your email is on lots of health lists and you are probably getting pitched on Resveratrol several times per week!

But we already have the best from Sunrider. I don’t need to slim down, but I eat 2-4 MetaShaper per day for the Resveritrol and antioxidant effects. Go ahead, your skin, immune system and most of the rest of you will be thankful!

Create a more balanced life with food!

By Chef Jean Ekobo

Yes! You can regain your health by changing your diet! The proper nutrition is key to reducing stress, finding your balance, getting your energy and stamina back, and losing the unwanted fluff.
As a French chef trained in Paris, I was taught all the tricks to please my clients’ taste buds by using butter, cream, herbs, and spices, different techniques and an infinity of sauces. Yet there was no course on nutrition or health conscious eating beyond knowing how to counter-balanced rich sauces with steamed vegetables.
My breakthrough began when I went to work as a personal chef for Muhammad Ali. I was already more health conscious in my advice to clients, preferring the Mediterranean cuisine always over the Traditianal Parisian even the Italian ones! I studied more nutrition and became passionate about the relationship between food and health. That’s how I came across the Chinese art of nourishing the body.
Did you know that the Chinese mastered the art of healing your body with proper nutrition about 3000 years ago? They found that specific colors and precise tastes feed particular organs. The Chinese saw everything in existence as consisting of five main elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Water and Metal). Each element corresponds with particular body systems, organs, colors, emotions, as well as foods and flavors. When there is an area of disharmony in the body it often presents as discomfort or dis-ease. The body can be returned to health by bringing that area back into balance by eating the appropriate foods.
What did you eat for your respiratory system or your immune system today? What did you eat to feed your kidneys or your pancreas? These are questions we usually cannot answer; but the answer can be found in the ancient Chinese philosophy of the five elements.
         To feed your heart and your small intestine, you can eat red (like the Fire element) foods, and foods that tastes bitter.
         To feed your pancreas and stomach, choose a yellow or brown (like Earth) sweet fruit or vegetable.
         Metal is the element of the lungs and large intestine; it is about the color white and spicy foods.
         For the circulatory system, the element is Water, with blue or black colors and a salty taste. It may remind you of that old saying “where the salt goes, water follows!”
         Finally, the Wood element, for the liver and gall bladder, is green and the taste is sour.
An understanding of the 5 elements and how they relate to each other is only part of creating a menu that will heal from the inside out. We have a few options to use this ‘science’ of nourishing our systems. Organic foods free of pesticides and artificial fertilizers are good but are often grown in nutrient depleted soils. Raw foods provide beneficial enzymes but such diets may not provide enough of the right balance of nutrients to support the body. Due to labels like organic or raw foods we may believe that we are being healthy when in the big picture it is not enough.
The Chinese differentiate three types of herbs: poisonous, medicinal, and food. They actually call ‘herbs’ what we would call ‘roots, flowers, fruits, and vegetable’. A food grade herb is not the same as the medicinal herbs commonly associated with Chinese medicine. Food grade herbs are nutrient rich whole foods that contain amino acids, fatty acids, complex carbohydrates, the very important enzymes, and a proper balance of vitamins, and minerals.
It is possible to rely on highly concentrated nutritional foods in the proper balance to return to and maintain health. In fact it is a process that the Chinese mastered thousands of years ago. This is why I started my mission to give free advice. The solution to many health issues may rest in concentrated, alive, herb-food. After all, when a French chef trained in the art of cooking, promotes these concepts of health and wellness, it is food for thought!

A Story of Better Health
Author: Jean
Part # 1 Experience vs. Experiment
Historically, the Chinese have been the only people to develop an organized method for recording and documenting the effects of herbs, although there are many sources cataloguing herbs to some degree (usually 100 to 200 varieties). The Chinese – over the last 5000 years – have specialized in understanding thousands of herbs and their effect on the human body. They are specialized in the usage of herbs. Their health, long life and medical philosophies reflect this herbal knowledge.
The Chinese study of herbs began with one man eating an herb and recording the effects on his body. Through the years, this information was categorized and organized until it was an exact Chinese science. Their gathering of information is “observed experience.” Today, scientists “experiment” with animals that theoretically respond like humans. From these reactions, the scientists draw conclusions about future human response. Then, as humans use the product of this experimentation, experience shows whether the scientific conclusions were healthful or harmful. Please note the difference between experience and experiment. The Chinese took the first approach. Their knowledge is based on 5,000 years of experience with herbs have on the human body.
With this experience, the Chinese have classified all herbs into three groups. The first is called food herbs. These herbs do not control the body, but as food, will feed the body nutritionally and support proper functioning and self-regulation. The second group is called medicinal herbs. These herbs will control body functions similarly to the drugs commonly used in the medical profession today. The third group is poisonous herbs. These herbs will cause death or extreme illness. With this categorical approach to herbs came two health approaches. The Philosophy of Regeneration states that the human body is fully capable of building a strong, healthy, balanced body, when the body obtains proper whole food nutrition. With good nutrition, the body creates the energy necessary to function properly. Add good eating habits, exercise and positive mental attitudes, and a person can develop excellent physical strength and health.

Part # 2 Regeneration vs. Substitution
An opposing philosophy is Substitution, which states that when a body function does not work properly or ceases to work at all, it becomes necessary to institute “crisis management.” The use of controlling substances (herbs or drugs) either stimulates the function so it works, or gives it a rest so that it might regain strength to begin functioning on its own. It is called Substitution, because a drug, herb, or chemical is used as a substitute for a function the body was designed to perform on its own. Both principles have their place. Regeneration creates health when the body has proper nutrition, exercise and mental attitudes. Substitution is used when the body, through lack of proper nutrition, has lost its ability to function properly, thereby creating the need for outside control to help begin solving the problem.
Let’s consider an example of the body’s digestive system. To operate properly the digestive system needs hydrochloric acid. After going to the doctor, it is found the digestive problems stem from lack of hydrochloric acid. A prescription is given for pills with synthetic hydrochloric acid. After taking the pills, the digestive system works! The stomach problems seem to be gone. That is, until the hydrochloric acid in the stomach leaves, then the ache comes back and it is necessary to take more pills.
The body is a self-regulating mechanism and is designed to create its own hydrochloric acid when given the proper nutrition. The question is, does substitution solve the problem of the body’s inability to produce hydrochloric acid? No, it is substituting the acid so the body does not have to create it on its own.
Unfortunately, substitution tends to create some negative effects and the problem is not solved. First, it creates greater weakness of the body function. Like your muscles, if a body function isn’t used it weakens until it dies. This is called atrophy. Secondly, when the function ceases to operate, the body creates a dependency on the substitute. Third, substitution rarely only affects the function it is intended to help. There are almost always side effects, many of which are dangerous to good health. If you take a substitute to help with high blood pressure, it may cause nausea. If you take a substitute for nausea, it may cause dizziness. If you take a substitute for dizziness…, it goes on and on.

Part # 3 The Philosophy of Regeneration
Now, let’s apply this same example of digestion to the Philosophy of Regeneration. The Chinese have found from experience that specific food herbs feed specific systems of the body. Now suppose you have a stomachache. You decide to see if giving proper nutrition can regenerate the digestive function. You eat the food herbs the Chinese have used for centuries to feed the Digestive System. As the digestive system receives nutrients it is now, once again, able to produce hydrochloric acid on its own.
The higher challenge is for the human mind to change its conditioned way of “Substitution Thinking” to be “Regeneration State of Mind,” whereby we feed the whole body with the awareness of bringing about greater harmony and balance between all its systems and functions.
This is Regeneration – The body obtains the proper nutrients through whole foods and then utilizes the energy and elements necessary for the body to function properly and regenerate itself. This concept can be reduced to three major principles.
Principle 1 – Our bodies have the innate ability to create balance, order and
health when proper nourishment is put into the body and
toxins are cleansed from the body.
Principle 2 – Proper nourishment should come from a wide variety of whole
foods, not chemical isolates.
Principle 3 – We must be willing to accept responsibility for our health.
